U.S. stock futures headed lower Thursday before another wave of earnings reports, with worries about earnings growth for Amazon.com, Apple and Starbucks denting sentiment. More than two hours before the start of trading, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were 58 points lower at 12690. The S&P 500 futures slipped 7 points to 1371.50, and Nasdaq 100 futures lost 13.25 points to 1892.25. Changes in futures do not always accurately predict early market moves after the opening bell. The market was up by about 43 points yesterday, as giants Boeing and Microsoft reported better than expected earnings. Oil futures fell 80 cents to $117.50 a barrel and gold futures broke back under the $900-an-ounce mark.
