The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the consultations and meetings he held over the previous days on the bilateral relations and issues of the region and the world. In this context, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques valued the brotherly meeting he held with Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak in the city of Sharm Alsheikh on Wednesday and his meeting with Senegalese President Abdullah Wad on Friday. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani said in this context, the Cabinet stressed the kingdom's principled stands supporting the Arab interests, ensuring security, stability and development for the Arab people, and confronting the dangers that threaten some Arab states and their national unity, exposing them to foreign or regional hegemony and aiming to change their social structure. The Cabinet also underlined the kingdom's firm stands on supporting and enhancing efforts by the joint Islamic work institutions to serve the Islamic nation and enhance their status. --More
