The General Assembly of ARABSAT has chosen new members of its Board of Directors, according to Kamal Husayn Al-Jabri, Yemeni Minister of Communication & Information Technology who returned home today from Marrakech, Morocco, where ARABSAT held recently the 31st meeting of its General Assembly. The meeting was convened in response to an invitation extended to ARABSAT member countries by its President and CEO Muhammad Bin Jamil Bin Ahmad Mulla, The Saudi Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Al-Jabri said. The Yemeni Minister, who attended the meeting in Morocco, said it discussed a report presented to it by ARABSAT Board of Directors and the Organization's final account for 2007. On the sideline of this meeting, Al-Jabri said he met with a number of participating Arab communication ministers to discuss aspect of cooperation and possibility of learning from experiences in the field of Communication & Information Technology between Yemen and other Arab countries to promote cooperative ties with all Arab countries in the field of communications for its positive impacts on everyone in the Arab world. --MORE
