Saudi Minister of Finance and Governor of the Islamic Development Bank for Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al- Assaf called on member states which have not yet contributed to the capital of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development to accelerate contribution to strengthen the principle of the Islamic solidarity and to address poverty posing challenges to Islamic governments and societies. In a speech delivered today on the occasion of holding a consultative meeting of the Bank, he expressed the appreciation of the Kingdom for the bank's sincere and distinguished efforts to achieve development, economic and social progress for its member states. Dr. Al-Assaf also stressed Saudi Arabia's keenness on supporting the Islamic Development Bank Group emanating from its keenness to support joint Islamic action. On the other hand, the President of Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali expressed his thanks to the host country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and the Saudi people for all the support and care provided to the Islamic Development Bank.
