A policeman says a bomb has exploded near a power plant in southern Afghanistan, killing two employees. The remote-controlled device was apparently hidden near the wall of the plant and was detonated Saturday morning. Mohammad Hussein Andiwal, the police chief in Helmand province, said two employees were killed and six wounded. Two civilian passers-by also were hurt, the Associated Press reported. Andiwal said the plant machinery was slightly damaged, but that power supply was not interrupted.
