The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace here today Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, President of Youth Welfare, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of Youth Welfare, members of Saudi Football and Handball Federations, members of the technical and administrative staff and players of Kingdom Football team under 23 on occasion of winning the cup of the first GCC championship of Football teams under 23 recently held in Riyadh and members of the technical and administrative staff and players of Kingdom Handball team on the occasion of qualifying for World Cup 2009 due to be held in Croatia. The Monarch welcomed them all and congratulated the teams of the Kingdom on these achievements that will contribute to enhancing the status of Saudi sport and its honorable presence at regional, continental and international arenas, urging them to redouble their efforts, to develop their levels to honor their country and to raise its flag high in all sports events. The King emphasized the importance of good manners and adherence to the correct Islamic religion in all their affairs, especially during their representation of their homeland in external sports events, wishing them success in all the championships in which they participate. --More
