The Secretary General of the Interior Arab Ministers Council Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman has affirmed the importance of the League of Arab States and the need to strengthen and develop it in the light of the great challenges facing the countries and peoples of the Arab nation, and the global trend towards building regional blocs. In a speech delivered during a meeting held in Tunis today on the occasion of the 63d anniversary of the founding of the League of Arab States, Koman said that the need for more Arab cooperation and coordination in the security field seems more important under the increasing of the crimes in different parts of the world and the consequential effects on the Arab region. He said that fighting those crimes is a main concern of the Arab Interior Ministers Council to eliminate their dangers and damages from Arab countries. He noted that the main goal of establishment of the council is the development, cooperation and coordination of efforts among Arab countries in the filed of internal security and the combating the crimes, expressing his confidence and pride in the steps made by the council which celebrated of 25th year of its foundation early this year.
