The 20th conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs issued here today a statement titled "Societal Security Elements in Islam" The Saudi delegation to the conference was led by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh. The statement discussed the issue of security in the world and the vital importance of security for people. The statement highlighted Islam's concern for security of all people living in Islamic countries. The statement said that ensuring security for Muslims in the world requires cooperation to achieve a number of goals including confronting the phenomena of extremism, fanaticism and terrorism which harmed the image of Islam.
