The Dalai Lama says there should be an international investigation into the crackdown against protests in Tibet, AP reported. The Tibetan spiritual leader says he wants a «respected international organization ... (to) find out what the situation is in Tibet and what is the cause.» Speaking to journalists Sunday in Dharmsala, the base of his government-in-exile in northern India, he said there is a problem in Tibet «whether the (Chinese) government there admits it or not.» His comments come after protests by Buddhist monks against Chinese rule in Tibet turned violent, leading to a crackdown by Chinese authorities in the region's capital, Lhasa.
