At least five people have been killed in landslides triggered by heavy rains in south-western Colombia, according to dpa. The landslides occurred Tuesday in the communities of Campoalegre and Santa Maria, authorities in Huila province reported, adding that six other people were missing after they were washed away by floodwaters. Twenty landslides were reported on the province's main road alone as Colombia as well as Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia have seen unusually heavy rainfall in past weeks.
