Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Ameen Madani hosted a luncheon yesterday in honor of the official guests of the Janadriya National Festival for Heritage and Culture, currently in progress at Al-Janadriya village in the outskirts of Riyadh city. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Subeyel, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Cultural Affairs, drew the attention that Riyadh is currently hosting several cultural events. He cited Janadriya Festival for Heritage and Culture, Riyadh book fair, King Abdullah's International Prize for Translation, and King Faisal International Prize. He said the Ministry of Culture and Information runs 16 literary clubs throughout the Kingdom in addition to 12 branches of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts.
