Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali Alnaimi praised implementation of recommendations by the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining with support from concerned Arab parties of the first consultation meeting of Arab ministers concerned with mineral resources and recommendations by the 9th Arab Conference on Mineral Resources which were held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the month of Shawal 1427 H. under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. This came during a speech the minister delivered today at the 14th meeting of the consultation committee of the mineral resources sector in the Arab countries held in Rabat, Morocco. The minister expressed keenness of all to implement the important recommendations made by the first consultation meeting of Arab ministers concerned with mineral resources as well as the recommendations made by the 9th Arab Conference on Mineral Resources which were held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the month of Shawal 1427 H. The minister mentioned the high increase of prices of minerals during the last five years and partially attributed the reason to fast growth of the world economy, decreased deposits of minerals in some producing countries, increased international inflation, decreased dollar's value and other factors. At the end of his speech, the minister called for investment in the sector of mining in the Arab countries.
