US supports Yemen's accession to WTO

The United States of America has announced its political and technical support for Yemen to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) as well as providing all aids to help Yemen meet its obligations at the organization, SABA reported.
At the second meeting of the US-Yemeni Trade and Investment Council (UYTIC) concluded in Washington, the Yemeni delegation headed by Trade and Industry Minister Madhya al-Mutawakil and the U.S. assistant representative of Trade Dawn Shownly discussed procedures for the accession to the organization.
The Yemeni delegation reviewed measures Yemen follows to improve the structure of trade as well as reforms for improving the investment climate.
