The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defense will join other member states of the International Organization of Civil Protection in observing the international day of civil defense on Saturday. This was stated by Director General of Civil Defense lieutenant general Saad Altwaijri who highlighted this occasion and the importance of the Civil Defense in protecting lives and properties. In a press statement, he commended the support provided by the officials of the Ministry of Interior to the Civil Defense to observe this occasion which concerns the safety of all. He mentioned the internet site of the Civil Defense, WWW.998.gov.sa, and said it contained a lot of useful information on the occasion.
