President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia is scheduled to receive US Defense Secretary Robert Gates at the Presidential Office, here on Monday, ANTARA reported. The Jakarta visit is part of Gates` nine-day trips to Australia, Indonesia, India and Turkey. Earlier Indonesian Defense Minister Juwono Sudarsono said that he and his US counterpart would discuss issues among other things on maritime security in Southeast Asian region. Indonesia and other member countries of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) have committed to protecting the maritime security and defense in ASEAN region, he said.
