Arsonists threw a home-made bomb outside the government offices of the environment ministry Sunday, causing no injuries and minor damage, the Athens News Agency reported. The explosion occurred shortly after an unknown individual called the offices of the daily Greek newspaper Eleftherotypia and said that a bomb would go off in 20 minutes, according to DPA. Police rushed to the scene and managed to cordon off the entrance of the building before the blast. No one claimed responsibility. The device caused slight damages at the entrance of the environment and public works building in the central Athens district of Ambelokipi. Groups of anarchists frequently carry out arson attacks in the Greek capital and in the northern port city of Thessaloniki against government offices, large businesses and embassies.
