A landslide killed two miners at Gumuk Sepikul, Pakusari subdistrict, Jember District, East Java, according to ANTARA. The victims were digging sand and rocks when suddenly a landslide occurred and buried them, while seven other miners managed to escape the disaster, Samsul Arifin, an eye witness, said. Rescuers managed to evacuate the victims` bodies after six-hour rescue efforts.
