Saudi Arabia and Egypt have reached an agreement on the regulations pertaining to the trips of Hajj and Umrah (minor Hajj) between the ports of the two countries. The agreement aims at ensuring the safety of the passengers as well as enhancing coordination between the inspecting teams in the two countries. According to Cairo-based al-Ahram newspaper, the participants of the meeting, held in Alexandria yesterday in the presence of senior officials from the two sides, reviewed the proposals presented during the recent visit of the Egyptian delegation to the Kingdom. The proposals underscored the importance of ensuring the safety of the passengers as well as conducting periodical inspection on he ferries operating between the Egyptian and Saudi port.
