A bomb exploded inside a passenger bus in the outskirts of Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo, injuring at least 14 people on Saturday morning, DPA quoted police sources as saying. The explosion took place in Mount Lavinia, 12 kilometres south of the capital. The casualties were minimized because a passenger spotted a suspicious parcel and told the passengers to get off the bus, police said. There were at least 40 passengers inside the bus when the parcel was spotted, police quoted eyewitnesses as saying. Police said they believed Tamil rebels of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were responsible for attack.
