Riyadh Chamber of Commerce will host on Saturday, Feb 23, 2008, Lord Mayor of the City of London David Lewis who will head a British business delegation. The British delegation will discuss with the Saudi businessmen prospects of economic cooperation as well as means for enhancing the performance of the private sector in Saudi Arabia and Britain in addition to eradicating obstacles facing the businessmen. The Saudi businessmen will discuss with their British counterparts a number of economic issues including banking and financial systems, training on banking services and investment in the financial affairs. Speaking on the occasion, Abdulrahman Al-Jiraisy, the Chairman of Board of directors of the chamber of commerce and industry of Riyadh, reiterated the importance of the visit of the British delegation, and said it would positively contribute to further enhancing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Britain. He noted that recent visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz to Britain has yielded positive results and paved the way for further cooperation in the field of joint investments and boosting trade exchange between the two countries. --spa
