Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, Honorary President of the Saudi Arabian Society for Heart, today inaugurated the 19th conference for SASH, the International Conference for King Abdulaziz Center for Cardiac Medicine and Surgery and the 7th Scientific Meeting for the Arab Society for Pediatric Cardiac Diseases and Surgery, organized by the Health Affairs of the National Guard. Cardiac Disease Saudi Arabian Society member Dr. Hani Najm, who is also Chairman of the conference, said 150 speakers from inside and outside the Kingdom from 26 countries will take part in the four-day event. In a key address, Dr. Mohammed Arafa, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Society for Heart, underscored importance of work leading to prevention and treatment of heart diseases, the world's first killer, and announced that next year's conference will be hosted by Dammam. On his part, Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer expressed hope that such conferences would contribute to upgrading health care in the Kingdom and underscored the importance of participation of ordinary people in such events, noting that the last two days of the conference will be allotted for public participation.
