The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Humodi has held a meeting with Assistant United States Trade Representative Shaun Donnelly. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common concern, particularly in the field of trade and investment. They also explored new prospects for cooperation to increase the volume of trade exchange. The two sides agreed to hold the first meeting of Trade and Investment Council during the first half of this year. The meeting was attended by a number of specialists from both sides. It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in 2006 amounted to SR 157 billion and the number of Saudi-American projects in the Kingdom reached 521 with a total investment estimated at SR 76 billion.
