The German owners of two Picasso paintings valued at 4 million dollars voiced shock Friday, two days after they were stolen while on loan for an exhibition in Pfaeffikon, Switzerland, according to dpa. Thieves took the canvasses Horse's Head (1962) and Glass and Jug (1944) after sneaking inside the cultural centre in the town on Wednesday evening. Police still have no leads. "We still can't comprehend how the rascals managed to get themselves locked inside the museum when it shut," said Ulrich Krempel, head of the Sprengel Museum in Hanover which owns the paintings. He called the theft of the Sprengel's treasures "an act of barbarism."
