Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, President of Youth Welfare, and visiting Dr. Jacques Rouge, Chief of the International Olympic Committee, held a joint press conference, highlighting the activities of both the Saudi Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee. The event was attended by Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Deputy President of Youth Welfare. In a statement, Prince Sultan bin Fahd lauded the great achievements reached by the IOC since Dr. Rouge assumed office as chief of the world's Olympic drive. Prince Sultan cited the role of the IOC in the fields of finance, sponsorship, doping combat and the increase of participation of national Olympic committees in Olympic tournaments.
