Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman al-Atiyyah and his accompanying delegation left here on Monday after participating in the 2nd Consultative Gulf Meeting held in Sana'a to follow up the outcomes of London Donors Conference, SABA reported. Al-Atiyyah said that he held talks with President Ali Abdullah Saleh and listened to his vision on reinforcing the relations between Yemen and the GCC's states, briefing the president on the progress of the financial pledges allocated in London Donor Conference. "We talked about merging the Yemeni economy in the GCC states' economies as well as the results of the Conference on Exploring Investment Opportunities in the country held last year between Yemeni and gulf businessmen", al-Atiyyah added. He said that he discussed with a number of Yemeni officials joining Yemen to the railway that would link the states of the GCC and Yemen after the leaders of GCC have approved that in their last summit in Doha.
