Secretary General of the council of the Arab Interior Ministers Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman has highlighted the significant and constructive role being played by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, who is also the honorary Chairman of the Council of the Arab interior ministers, as regards enhancing and upgrading the joint Arab security work and strengthening the role of the Council which is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of its establishment. In statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Dr. Koman commended the major role played by Prince Naif in Establishing the Council in 1982 adding that for this reason the Arab Interior Ministers have unanimously named him as the Honorary Chairman of the Council ever since its first session. The Council decided in 1997 to change the name of Arab Center for Security Studies and training to Naif Arab Academy for security Sciences and then to Naif Arab University for security Sciences in recognition of his great efforts in promoting and developing the joint Arab security work, he pointed out.
