In recognition of late King Saud bin Abdulaziz, who first laid the foundation stone for the Hospital of King Saud the First 52 years ago, which was later named Riyadh Medical Complex, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, today announced renaming the medical facility after its founder as King Saud bin Abdulaziz Medical Complex. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first Medical Tower and the Academic and Administrative Tower at Riyadh Medical Complex and the laying of the foundation stones for several health projects in Riyadh, including Riyadh Medical Complex's second Medical Tower, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, who patronized the event, said the new projects are yet another proof of the care of the rational leadership of the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General. At the venue, Prince Salman was received by senior government officials, led by Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mana'e, the Minister of Health. Then Prince Salman was briefed on the contents of the projects through replicas at the site. Addressing the gathering, the minister said Riyadh medical complex's medical towers will, after completion, include a total of 1368 beds in all fields. The foundation stones for East Riyadh, South Riyadh and North Riyadh hospitals were laid and expansions of Prince Salman hospital and Al-Eiman hospital were dedicated during the event.
