Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul-aziz, the Governor of Assir region, inspected here today the venue of the university city of King Khalid University on Abha-Khamis-Musheit Road. He was welcomed by director of the university Dr Abdullah al-Rashid and a number of officials. Prince Faisal bin Khalid was briefed on the university city which includes the faculties of Sharia, Religion's Fundamentals, Arabic Language, Social and Administrative Affairs, Engineering, Computer, Languages and Translation. The university city is built on an area of 85,000 square meters with 252 halls and a capacity of more than 17,000 students, 36 laboratories and six centers for electronic education. The complex also includes a five-storey building which includes the faculties of medicine, applied medical sciences, dentistry, pharmacy as well as 70 laboratories and five research centers in addition to a center of physio-therapy, center of medicines and poisons, audio-center, visual center and other utilities.
