The Secretary General of Arab Interior Ministerial Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman disclosed that an Arab convention to combat money laundering and financing of terrorism is being prepared by a joint committee of the ministries of interior and justice in Arab countries. He said in a statement published here today that the Council of Arab Interior Ministers which holds its twenty-fifth session next Wednesday and Thursday will discuss the crimes committed by modern technologies, including the Internet. He mentioned that the Council supports the convening of an international conference under the patronage of United Nations to discuss terrorism and also supports the efforts to develop UN comprehensive international convention to combat terrorism. He stressed the need to distinguish between terrorism and legitimate resistance to confront the occupation and liberate the land.
