US President George W Bush will travel to Africa next month on a five-nation tour to review the progress that has been made under a multi-billion-dollar US programme to combat HIV/AIDS and Malaria on the continent, according to dpa. Bush will make stops in Benin, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and Liberia during the February 15-21 trip, the White House said Friday. Bush also wants determine how the United States can continue supporting the development of democracies, human rights, free trade and economic investment on the continent, spokeswoman Dana Perino said. Bush in 2003 launched his five-year, 15-billion-dollar Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to combat AIDS in Africa.
