The Shoura Council held an ordinary session here today and hailed the aid ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to help alleviate suffering by Saudi citizens from the cold wave in the kingdom. In a statement at the beginning of the session, Shoura Council's Chairman Dr. Salih bin Homaid praised this compassionate gesture by the king. Assistant Secretary General of the Shoura Council Ahmad Alyahya said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency that the council approved the Regulation of the Supreme Council of Education. Alyahya said that the council discussed the draft regulation of universities adding that the council will continue discussion of the 62-article draft regulation in a future session.
