At least five persons were killed and 25 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the gate of a mosque in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Thursday, police said. A suicide bomber exploded himself when security personnel tried to stop him at the gate of the Imambargah in Kohati area of Peshawar, Interior Ministry spokesman Brig (retd) Javed Iqbal Cheema told reporters. Police said the bomber tried to go inside the worship place. When the security personnel attempted to search him, he blew himself up. Security forces immediately cordoned off the area. The injured persons were removed to different hospitals.
