Saudi-Algerian Joint Commission begins meeting

The Saudi-Algerian Joint Commission began here today its meeting under the co-chairmanship of Dr Hashim Yamani, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Algerian Finance Minister Karim Jodi.
Speaking on the occasion, Yamani said the volume of trade exchange between the two countries was doubled in the last five years and jumped from SR 43 million in 2002 to SR 356 million in 2006.
He noted that the Arab countries, notably the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have been supporting the financial and banking sectors in Algeria.
