Sonia Gandhi, the head of India's ruling Congress party, was discharged Sunday from a New Delhi hospital after recovering from a chest infection, a hospital official said. Gandhi, 61, checked into the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday with mild breathing problems. She left the hospital early Sunday and «has recovered from her illness,» Dr. B.K. Rao was quoted as saying by the Associated Press. «She is stable and has been advised to continue rest,» Rao said in a statement released by the hospital.
