Appreciating the steps being taken by the Pakistani government in different areas, he expressed the confidence that these would lead to development and prosperity of the country. Mottaki said Pakistan-Iran Joint Investment Commission, established in 2006, was working to further enhance bilateral trade and economic activities in the two countries. He said PakistanIran Joint Economic Council will meet next month to make a joint strategy to further cement economic ties. Mottaki said his meeting with President Pervez Musharraf was quite fruitful in which matters of mutual interest came under discussion.
