Manama, Tehran boost cooperation, says ambassador

Iran's Ambassador to Bahrain Hossein Amir Abdollahian has said that Tehran and Manama are keen to develop cooperation on bilateral and regional issues.
He told 'IRNA' (Iran's national news agency) that the recent visit by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Bahrain was a turning point in Tehran-Manama relations.
The Islamic Republic of Iran plans to expand ties with regional states particularly its neighbors, he said, adding that Tehran tries to pursue confidence-building and direct dialogue in order to strengthen further cooperation.
