The exports of the Kingdom of Saud Arabia have increased during last year (2006) to SR. 791.339 billion with an increase amounting to SR 114.195 Billion, which is a significant hike of 17 percent in comparison with the previous year of 2005 that registered total exports worth SR677.144 Billion. The fluctuation and the instability of Petroleum prices during the year 2006 had a direct and great impact on the value of exports, an export statistics newsletter released by The General statistics and Information Department reported. The volume of export weightage reached 429,282 tons in comparison to 469,306 tons in year 2005 with a decline of 40,024 tons, showing a fall of 9 percent, the report added.
