More than 240 passengers flying to Australia from Hong Kong made a late arrival Monday after a terrified passenger forced their pilot to abort take-off, according to DPA. The Cathay Pacific Airbus A330-300 was taxiing down the runway Sunday evening when the male passenger began panicking and told cabin crew he had to get off the plane because he was afraid of flying. Flight attendants were unable to calm him down and the pilot was forced to leave the runway and return to the departure gate for the passenger and his luggage to be taken off the plane. The plane, with 242 passengers and 14 crew on board, had to wait at the gate for an hour before eventually departing at 9 pm, nearly 90 minutes behind schedule. It arrived in Melbourne early Monday.
