The Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani congratulated The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of Hajj Supreme Committee; and Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee on the distinguished success of Hajj plans for this year 1428H. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister reviewed the most important results of the ministry's activities during this Hajj season as one of the system of other governmental bodies. He pointed out that the ministry had prepared for Hajj season this year as it coordinated with other governmental bodies, private sector's companies and establishments to provide the best services for pilgrims. Dr. Yamani noted that that the ministry's plan for Hajj season this year included the implementation of a number of programs related to following up the provision of foodstuffs, their prices and expiry dates in Makkah, Madinah and the holy places and paying inspection tours of hotels, furnished flats, jewel and precious metal shops and gas stations. He added that the ministry has recruited 161 employees at its headquarters and branches in Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah and Taif.
