A roadside bomb went off near a vehicle carrying supporters of a ruling party candidate in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday, killing two men and wounding five others, police said. The men were driving to the election office of Tariq Masori, who is seeking a seat in the provincial legislature, when the blast occurred in Dera Bugti, a town about 300 kilometers (185 miles) east of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province, said Najmuddin Tareen, the top district police official. The dead were close relatives of Masori, who was not in the vehicle, the Associated Press reported.
