Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims started today pouring into the tent city of Mina to spend the Tarwiyah (watering) day, the eighth day of the lunar month of Zil-Hijja. It is called tarwiyah (watering) day because in the earlier times the pilgrims used to fill their water skins from Mina in preparation to ascendance to Arafat in the next day. The pilgrims will spend their day and night hours in Mina and proceed to Arafat tomorrow morning. Despite the great numbers of the pilgrims, yet they smoothly moved to Mina. Thanks to Allah Almighty and thanks to the excellent facilities made by the Saudi Government, notably the highways, tunnels and bridges, the ascendance of the pilgrims from Makkah to Mina went smoothly.
