Insurgents target convoy in Somalia

Nine people, including seven Somali soldiers, were wounded in combat after a roadside bomb exploded northwest of Mogadishu, according to UPI.
The bomb was intended for an Ethiopian convoy but missed its target Saturday in the town of Baidoa, Garowe Online reported Sunday.
Northeast of Beletwein, at least one soldier was killed and two others wounded when insurgents attacked a government checkpoint, Garowe Online reported.
