Etihad Airways Pakistan, with its exceptional growth rate in the year 2007, has won the award for the best outstation of the year. The award was presented at the Etihad Worldwide Staff Conference which was held in Abu Dhabi, said a statement. It said that the Etihad Airways in Pakistan achieved outstanding growth in 2007 with total revenue at October 2007 earned 12 per cent ahead of budget. The total revenue was also 80 per cent higher than the full year 2005. The Etihad sales figures for the year showed a 270 per cent increase in the Diamond (First class sales, while Pearl (Business class) sales increased by 127 per cent, and coral (Economy class) sales by 66 per cent - all compared to full year 2006. James Hogan, Etihad Airways chief executive, said, I am pleased that Etihad is doing so well in Pakistan, which is one of our biggest destinations. The amazing growth figures show the acceptance of Etihad in the market. At the event, Joost den Hartog, Area Manager for Etihad Airways In Pakistan said, the exceptional growth that we have achieved in Pakistan this year, shows the great potential in the market, and the preference which the customers give to quality and outstanding service.
