Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General has donated SR 16 million to support the Charitable Society for Care of Orphans. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region and Chairman of the Society's Board of Directors expressed in his own name and on behalf of the members of the society and its employees their best thanks to and appreciation of the Crown Prince for his generous and continuous support for the activities of the society, stressing that this support comes within the Crown Prince's keenness on sensing the needs of orphans in Riyadh region. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Salman said that the sum is allocated to purchase a charitable endowment in Kharj governorate to be as one of tributaries to the society's resources and will be named "Prince Sultan Endowment for Orphans in Al-Kharj Governorate". It is noteworthy that the society sponsors 24,150 orphans in Riyadh city and its governorates.
