A Symposium on dialogue between the Arab and Chinese civilizations ended here today its deliberations, according to a final statement issued in the Saudi capital earlier today. The participants of the Symposium reviewed the cultural cooperation between the Arabs and China recalling the final report of the first session of the seminar of the Arab-Chinese relations held in Beijing in 2005, and underscored the importance of enhancing dialogue between the two sides. The participants of the Symposium underlined the importance of coordination with the initiatives of civilizations alliance and living in coexistence as well as realizing political security, stability and solidarity which are based on common principles. They called for supporting the initiatives which aim at spreading the culture of tolerance. They also underlined the importance of maintenance of the independence and sovereignty, and avoiding intervention in the domestic affairs. China supports the Arab just causes and their efforts to preserve their national rights and legal interests and restoring their all occupied territories in line with the resolutions of the international legitimacy notably the Palestinian problem. The Arab countries voiced support to the principle of one China. The Symposium also called for cementing political, economic, cultural and popular relations between the two sides as well as coordination of stands at the international Forums. --MORE
