Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs and Chairman of Board of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water pointed out that there has been a great cooperation with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and an agreement will be concluded with the organization and other agreements with two or three world bodies. In a press statement following the board's meeting in Riyadh today, he said that the meeting dealt with preparations for the prize, which will be at the end of next year and for the Arab Water Conference to be adopted and supervised by the prize for the first time. The Prince indicated that the meeting decided to annually hold two meetings, one permanently in Saudi Arabia and the other in a different country, noting that a meeting will be held in Singapore at the end of February. Prince Khalid bin Sultan added that more than 81 researches have been submitted for the prize including 30 researches for the creativity prize organized for the first time. In another press statement, Dr. Abdulmalek bin Abdulrahman Al Al-Sheikh, the Prize's Secretary General and Supervisor of Prince Sultan Center for Environment and Desert Research at King Saud University said that the prize aims to value the efforts and researches of scientists, inventors and scientific institutions in the area of water all over the world.
