Advisor to the Interior Minister Dr. Saad Alorabi Alharthi, who is also Chairman of the Saudi Relief Commission for Palestinian People signed here today an agreement with the United Nations program for human settlement in Palestine under which the Commission will fund establishment of a technical and vocational training center for poor women and those of special needs in Khalil region at the western bank in Palestine. Following the signing of the agreement, DR. Alharthi said in a press statement that the project comes as an extension of the supporting stand of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Palestinian People, pointing out that the total cost of the Project which will be funded by the Commission is estimated to be SR. 5,962,500 (US $ 1,590,000) and will be implemented in cooperation with the U.N. Program as well as a number of Palestinian concerned quarters. The Commission is continuing its effort to implement its 24 relief programs for the Palestinian People which are estimated to cost SR. 761,935,949 as well as contributing to other programs in cooperation with U.N. Agencies, which are valued at more than SR.187,714,532, he added.
