proliferation treaty and to make the Middle East free of mass destruction weapons and means of launching them according to relevant international legitimacy resolutions. In this concern, the two sides confirmed their support for a diplomatic solution for the Iranian nuclear file and urged Iran for cooperation and compliance with Security Council resolutions No. 1696, 1737 and 1747 and for constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. The two sides reviewed the efforts being exerted to fight terrorism and emphasized their denunciaiton of terrorism in all its forms as a threat that puts at stake the world peace, security and stability and agreed on the importance of unifying the world community's efforts for combating it and upgrading the degree of coordination and cooperation in this regard. The two sides reiterated their firm commitment of the United Nations agreements regarding terrorism and the relevant Security Council's resolutions. The two sides also welcomed the enforcement of the international agreement on combating nuclear terrorism acts and the recognition of the strategies to combat global terrorism by the United Nations General Assembly. In this regard, the Federal Republic of Russia lauded the proposal by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to set up an international center for combating terrorism. They reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries in the economic, investment, cultural and educational fields and agreed on the importance of enhancing and developing them. They also underscored, in this respect, the importance of holding the joint committee between the two countries and the Saudi Russian Business Council, if deemed necessary, to discuss ways of encouraging investments between the two countries. --More
