Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General pointed out that the stumbling of projects of finding peaceful solutions to the Middle East problem has been due to two main factors, firstly, Israeli intransigence in responding to the peace initiatives and calls and secondly, the focus of other some peaceful projects on the consequences of the conflict rather than the substance, which led to a situation of tension and conflict. In an interview with the Crown Prince conducted by Russian News Agency Itar-Tass on the occasion of his visit to Russia, Crown Prince Sultan affirmed that the Arab peace initiative constitutes an historic opportunity for its comprehensiveness on one side and its focus on the conflict on the other. He hoped that Annapolis conference will address central issues, especially the establishment of an independent and linked- parts Palestinian state, the problem of refugees and Al-Quds and improvement of the conditions of the Palestinians. The conference should be characterized by comprehensiveness of solution on all tracks. The Crown Prince talked about strong relations between the two friendly countries, prospects of bilateral cooperation and ways of developing it in various fields, issues of energy security and aspects of development of investment cooperation between Moscow and Riyadh, cooperation in combating terrorism and the role of the two countries in settling the conflict in the Middle East. --More
