Professor Yelina Milcomian, the Russian expert in the economic affairs of the Arab Gulf states, has highlighted the significance of the visit of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, to Russia, and said the visit is viewed as an important development in the history of the Saudi-Russian relations. In a statement to SPA, she said the visit will give an impetus to the economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Russia. The expert noted that the visit of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to Moscow in 2003, and the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Kingdom in 2007 have launched the start of a new stage in the bilateral relations, notably the economic relations. Pointing out to the keenness of the Russian leadership on further cementing relations with the Arab and Muslim world, she said that the visit of Crown Prince Sultan will have a great positive impact. The expert noted that cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil and gas constitutes one of the promising domains. Russia, leadership and people, expects that the visit of Crown Prince Sultan to Moscow and his talks with President Putin will yield positive results and pave the way for further developing bilateral relations on the basis of mutual interests, she elaborated.
